Obituary:

Torie J. McIntosh, 53, of Apopka, departed this life on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Torie was born on September 6, 1972 in Orlando, FL, to Alzenia Matthews and the late Norman Lee King.

Torie was educated in the Orange County Public School system. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He was employed as a maintenance worker with several Orange County Public schools for over 28 years.

In his personal life, Torie found joy in many simple pleasures. He had a deep love for listening to music and doing yard work, both of which brought him comfort and happiness. He also had a fond appreciation for classic cars. Above all, Torie cherished spending time with his family, looking nice when he went out, and valued every moment shared with loved ones.

Torie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Bettina McCoy; daughter, Shazaria McIntosh; 6 siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, co-workers and numerous friends.

A service of memory will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, 2:00 PM at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 654 W. Anderson Street, Orlando with Pastor Rollie Murray Jr., officiating.

    A brother a friend and a coworker, we enjoyed many years working together with many laughters, a true fun filled human being, he will be sadly missed, deepest sympathy to the family in this time of hurt.

    It’s still very surreal for me here at northwest maintenance.. just reflecting on the many conversations i had with Torie. He was truly an original.. my sincere condolences to his family . May his soul rest in eternal peace.

    Torie was a good friend, and coworker while I was withed ocps we would have all types of conversations we would talk about clothes, cooking, cars,Politics, and finances. Torie will be missed..
