Obituary:
Steven Quincy White, Sr. a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, was born on April 11, 1977, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Larry White and Iris Pope. On September 25, 2026, Steven peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, family, perseverance, and hard work. Steven’s greatest source of pride was his family. He treasured his role as a father and cherished every opportunity to be present in the lives of his children: Lameka Johnson, Sierra White, Steven White Jr., London White, Gabrielle White, and Lance White.
His family was more than a part of his life, it was the very heart of it. He was a devoted grandfather to Johnny and Loyal Young, whose lives were enriched by his love, guidance, and presence, and shared 18 years of love and partnership with his beloved wife and life partner, Ledora White. Steven leaves to cherish his siblings, Brian Jones, Darryl White, Kevin White, and Larry White Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Together, they built a life grounded in love, companionship, family, and countless cherished memories.
Through dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Steven built a long and successful career in culinary management and operations. He served as General Manager for multiple establishments, ultimately concluding his distinguished career as General Manager for Krispy Kreme. He took great pride in his work and was known as a dependable, thoughtful, and dedicated professional. His career reflected the qualities that defined him personally: perseverance, responsibility, leadership, and a strong willingness to work hard to provide for those he loved.
Steven was a proud graduate of White Station High School and continued his education at Memphis State University. He later went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Programming. He approached both learning and life with purpose, always striving to grow, accomplish more, and create a meaningful future for himself and those he loved. Beyond his career and family, Steven found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. He enjoyed reading, following sports, and proudly supporting the Chicago Bears. These interests offered him moments of enjoyment and connection and became part of the many memories those who loved him will continue to treasure.
Steven’s greatest legacy will continue through his children, grandchildren, siblings, family, and friends. His presence may no longer be with us in person, but the imprint he left on the hearts of those who knew and loved him will remain. May his family find comfort in the memories they shared, the love he gave, and the countless ways his life made a difference. Steven Quincy White, Sr. will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 2:00 PM until services begin at 4:00 PM, Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Rev. Travis Mackey, officiating.
