Obituary:

Patricia Annette “Ms. Pat” Rhymes, 68, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Patricia, a lifelong resident of Orlando, was born on December 22, 1951 to Cynthia and J T Hammonds. She was served her community as a caregiver for several years and known as a “Mother to many”. Ms. Pat was a loving kindhearted person who was well known for her beautiful smile that brightened everyone’s day. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ms. Pat leaves to cherish her love and memories to her daughter, Kimberly (Pastor Keith) Martin; sons, Kedrick, Johnny (Nakia), Erik, and Eric Rhymes; siblings, Harry Jones, Pearl (Butler) Dallas, Sheryl Chenault, LaVerne (Tim) Allen, Tyrone Chenault, Anthony (Francina) Chenault, Gene (Candice) Chenault; 21 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM, Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Keith Martin, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

Executive Order in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic… we will only allow 10 individuals in at a time to enter the funeral home. We must adhere to these guidelines so that we all can remain safe and secure during this crisis. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    My heart is deeply sadden to lose my big sister. The best sister ever that anyone could possibly had on this earth.. God knew what was best and have placed her in his loving hands where nothing else can do her harm. She will be greatly missed by all of us. I will always treasure all of our memories forever more until we meet again. And we will meet again. Rest my sister rest….

    My heart is heavy but I know that she is in a better place. My sister was the best person you would ever want to know. She would give you the shirt off of her back if she could. The best Big Sister in the world. My prayers go out to my family and Great thanks to my neice Kimberly for an awesome job of taking care of her during her illness.

Yu Were The Best Cuzn That Anyone Could Have Yu Had A Smile That Would Lite Up Any Room Where Ever Ur Presence Was It Was Just Like One Big Beautiful Light That Lit Up Where Ever Yu Were Thats How Contagious Ur Smile Were.
