Obituary:
Pamelia O. “PAM” Bonner, 76, of Orlando, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 7, 2026. Pamelia was born on November 28, 1949 in Quitman, GA. She completed her formal education and later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Fort Valley State University, laying the foundation for a life defined by resilience, dedication, and service.
Professionally, Pam served her community as an educator, and taught for over 30 years with Orange County Public Schools, finishing her career at Carver Middle School. Her devotion to the craft was driven by her enthusiasm for positively impacting students and working alongside other passionate educators.
Pam leaves no mourners for she lived a rich Christian life among loving and devoted family and friends. She is survived by her son, Thaddeus O. Johnson; 2 siblings, Sandra (Bernard) Hadley, Audrey Jones; fiancé, Roger Murphy; 3 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She will live on in the hearts and minds of her family, former students, colleagues, and numerous friends.
Pamelia will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her nurturing spirit, her strength as a mother, and her love for teaching. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 4PM – 6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, 11:00 AM at New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Columbia Street, Orlando with Pastor John Roberts, officiating and Apostle Dorothy Travis, eulogist.

Seems like a long time ago, growing up on Washington Street in Quitman, Georgia. Playing softball in the street, basketball in our backyards, walking to Sunday school and church. We were always excited for Easter and Christmas, getting our hair fried by Miss Evelyn, walking to your grandparents store for penny cookies and candy, riding bikes, riding with big sister Cheryl when she started driving. Our block was all girls and we grew up next door to each other like family. We were loved by our parents and grandparents and that love made us strong so we could face the challenges life would bring. I am sad, knowing you, Jackie and Cheryl are gone but I rejoice that you are all with Jesus, Miss Kathryn and all your family. RIP Pam.

I was saddened to hear the news of Pam passing. My condolences to the family. Pam and I share some precious memories since (1990 ) at Richmond Heights Elementary as co-workers and a friend. Pam you will be miss. Rest my angel 😇🙏
