Obituary:

Omeka Naticia Aldridge, 28, of Orlando, departed this life on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Omeka was born on July 11, 1997 in Savannah, GA to Karen Aldridge.

“Meka / Redd”, as she was affectionately known, had a passion for dancing and watching TV. Meka had a fun-spirited soul, whose smile was so stunning that it would light-up any room. What gave her the most joy in life was spending time with her beloved family whom she loved with all her heart. Omeka was a beautiful, giving and kind individual and she will forever be missed.

She is survived by her mother, Karen Aldridge; sisters, Kadijah Sims, Sasha Williams, Lexie Bruce; brothers, Taylis Sims, Oisa Aldridge, Ulric and Iren Wilson; maternal grandmother, Lynval Aldridge; Godmothers, Betty (Curtis) Sims, Omeka Rahymes; and a host of other relatives and numerous friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, 11:00 AM at New Life Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 3919 W. New Hampshire Street, Orlando with Pastor Curtis Sims, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.

    To the family I offer my most sincere condolences. Revelation 21:3,4 offers a consoling reassurance. There it says that soon, death and sorrow will be done away with. What a wonderful hope we have to look forward to. I hope this scripture from God’s Word gives you comfort at this time.
