Obituary:

Minister Lynette Cherry, 61, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Minister Cherry was born on October 28, 1964 in New York, NY to the late Ruby and Curtis Cherry.

Minister Cherry was a dynamic leader and servant at Majestic Life Church, Orlando. Her dedication and faithfulness to uplift God’s people allowed her to serve as a leader of the Deaf ministry. The motto Minister Cherry carried with her, “if I can help somebody as I pass this way, then my living shall not be in vain” became a major tool she used to guide countless souls to the ever- open door of Christ.

In addition to her ministerial duties, she was employed as a referral specialist with the cardiology group with OrlandoHealth. She was also a member of the 40+ Double Dutch Club. She enjoyed reading the bible and spending time with her beloved family. Minister Cherry was a devoted mother, sister, Servant leader and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Minister Cherry breathed her last breath and put on her new robe of glory on Wednesday, July 15th. Her ministry and legacy will live on in the hearts of her beloved daughter, Shawnette Osborne; 2 siblings; and a host of other relatives, colleagues and numerous friends. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, 1:00 PM at Majestic Life Church, 821 S. Kirkman Road, Orlando.

My condolences to the family of my friend and dedicated an devoted church member. Minister Lynn was very dedicated and faithful to the sign language ministry. Minister Lynn was also very instrumental in the Wisdom In Action ministry and the Nursing Home ministries. I remember the last time I saw Minister Lynn at church on her rolling walker. I had to go and talk to her. I love the way that she pressed her way into the house of the Lord. FAITHFUL SERVANT.

We here at Burlington County Board of Social Services are heart broken to here of the passing of our former Coworker. Ms. Cherry as I called her. She was a sassy and funny person. Her love for God was often shown. She was stern but she make sure we know our stuff. Sleep on Woman of God. You will be missed but never forgotten. Mrs. Rose Blow, BCBSS.

Miss you so much. I’m still unable to grieve you. I miss our daily conversations, I call my daily confessions. Every time I pass by your office I pretend you are there in your usual chair waving at me to come in. You transferred out and you broke my heart. Then you said bye ya’ll I am going back to my Father in Heaven. God picks up His chosen ones. You are one of them. I will always think of you as being around the corner. Remembering you is too painful at the moment. . Maybe later.my beautiful friend. Rest in His arms ❤️
