Obituary:
Minnie L. Joiner, 76, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Minnie was born on May 28, 1950 in Live Oak, FL to the late Ola Mae and Arthur Cason. Professionally, she worked as a hotel hospitality supervisor for several years until retirement.
Minnie was a very kind, generous, loving woman with a heart of gold. She dedicated her life to raising and caring for her beloved family. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping at local garage sales, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Above all else, she was a woman of faith. She was an active member of Greater St. Paul AME Church, Orlando, serving in what ever capacity was needed. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for her children and family to follow. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her memory and legacy will live on in the hearts of her beloved husband, Cecil Joiner Jr.; children, Cecil Joiner III, Kevin Joiner, Cindy Wilson; 7 siblings, Maedell Riley, Earlean Ford, Thelma Monroe, Willie Mae Burney, Jerry Cason Sr., John Henry Giles, Bill Demps; 2 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and numerous friends. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, 1:00 PM at Greater St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1040 S. Parramore Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Marvin Andrews, officiating.
