Obituary:

Margaret Catherine ‘Peggy” Armstrong Smith, 85, of Kissimmee, FL departed this life on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Margaret was born January 30, 1938 to the late Iva and William Armstrong in New Brighton, PA. Professionally, Margaret was employed as a Real Estate agent for several years.

Margaret was a woman of great wisdom. She dedicated her life to serving her family and church. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her children and family to follow. She was a member of St. Mark AME Church, Orlando until her health began to decline. She loved her family and showed love to everyone. Margaret was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way.

Margaret (Peggy) is survived by her two children, Glenda (Curtis) Wright of Orlando Florida and son, Albert Clifford (Virna) Hudson Jr. of Tracy, California. Peggy, the oldest of four, leaves behind her three siblings, Nancy (Armstrong) Culver, William F. (Bill) Armstrong II and sister, Amelia Kay Armstrong all of Orlando.

Peggy has also been blessed with seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren (with two on the way). She will truly be missed by all her cousins, nieces, nephews, her childrens’ father and friends but one special cousin whom she shared the love of reading with is Jackie Walker. These two actually shipped boxes of books to each other from Florida to Pennsylvania and vice versa monthly…giving the family a chuckle.

She was lovingly known as Mom, Mommy, Ma, Mama, MamaCat, Grandma, Peggy or Peg- but whatever name was used it was always said with love. She was there for every one of her family members and friends, no matter what the need, she found a way. There is definitely a hole in our hearts that can only be filled with the joy of knowing she is finally at Peace.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration wil be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, 11:00AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando.
