Obituary:
Mamie L. McLaren, of Orlando, Florida departed this life on Friday, September 25, 2026. Mamie, affectionately known as LuLu, was born on August 21, 1966 in Edison, GA to the late Berdia Hamilton and Sammy Howard Sr. Professionally, she worked in the retail clothing industry.
LuLu was a very kind, generous, loving woman with a heart of gold. She dedicated her life to raising and caring for her beloved family. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, decorating, and spending time with her family. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for her family to follow. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mamie leaves her precious memories with her loving husband, Eugene Mitchell; two sons, Anthony McLaren and Antoine McLaren; 11 siblings, Alton McDuffie, Charles (Emma) McDuffie, Johnnie McDuffie, Craig Robinson, David McDuffie, Dwayne McDuffie, Derrick Howard, Sharon McDuffie, Rosa Kee, Angelica McDuffie, Deborah Howard; 3 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, 1:00 PM at Orlando West Ministries, 3005 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Pastor Anthony Symonette, officiating.
