Obituary:
James “JB” Brown, 76, of Longwood, departed this life on Monday, August 17, 2020. He was born in Pahokee, FL on November 26, 1943 to the late Ida Mae and Derry Brown, Sr. James graduated from East Lake High School in Pahokee. He was a Vietnam veteran with the United States Army. He served in the Vietnam War and earned a purple heart as a sharp shooter.
He spent his time after being honorable discharged from the United States Army as a sugar cooker with United States Sugar in Bryant, FL. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his four daughters, Jennifer Brown (Port St. Lucie, FL), Denise (Ashville, NC), Penny Brown (Rivera Beach, FL) and Jaime Washington (Orlando, FL); son, John Brown (Columbia, SC); brothers, William Brown (Hattie, Lauderhill, FL), Roosevelt Brown (Rhonda, Pahokee, FL) and Eugene Brown (Alice, Ocala, FL); sisters, Shirley Everett (Mike, Pahokee, FL), Willie Mae Daniels (Apopka, FL), Catherine Brown (West Palm Beach, FL).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020, 11:00AM at Cape Canaveral VA Cemetery, 5525 US -1, Mims, FL.
Dad you will be missed by so many. I’m going to miss your jokes, laughter, and your cool swagger. Rest in peace.

Well my friend i was always worrying about you. We had many years of fun from our original place the Old Project. How you always cracked jokes about my dad driving excessive and didn’t play.
