Obituary:
Bishop Willie B. Johnson, 78, of Oakland, fell asleep and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Bishop Johnson was born on November 19,1947 in Eastman, GA to the late Annie and Willie Johnson.
Willie completed his formal education, and later enlisted in the US Army, serving his country honorably. He was the recipient of numerous awards including a Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, earned the rank of Sergeant and was discharged in 1971.
Bishop Johnson dedicated his life to service, his family and community. He served the Lord with all his heart and was the beloved leader of Faith Haven Church, formerly Orlando Faith Ministries International, for over 30 years. Above all else, he cherished the quality time he spent with his family. He instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of his family to follow. The motto Bishop Johnson carried with him, “when you can’t track Him, when you can’t trace Him, you trust Him” became a major tool he used to guide countless souls to the ever- open door of Christ. Gaining the love and respect from many, Bishop Johnson’s light became a strong, gravitational pillar for the community he served.
He enjoyed reading the bible and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Bishop Johnson was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, Servant leader and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bishop Johnson breathed his last breath and put on his new robe of glory on Sunday morning, March 1st, surrounded by his family. His ministry and legacy will live on in the hearts of his beloved wife, Denise H. Johnson; sons, Daniel (Deanna) Johnson, David (Adriana) Johnson, Willie Johnson, Chadwick Johnson, Antron Johnson; sister, Venearee Johnson; 6 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, colleagues, church family and numerous friends. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 5-7PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, 11:00 AM at Faith Haven Church, 4435 Old Winter Garden Road, Orlando with Pastor Ricarrdo Spencer, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell.

They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” To Our Beloved Pastor Willie B Johnson, a Great Man of God who God has Graced to be our Pastor from the beginning of Faith Fellowship Family Church to OFMI. I Thank you Pastor for teaching my family the Biblical Principles for our life, and being our Spiritual Father throughout the years. May the Lord Continue to Embrace the Johnson Family, giving them the Peace, Guidance & Comfort that they need in this time and forever. God is a Great and Greatly to be Praise
With Great Love David, Robin, Raquel, Apollonia,Rebekah and Joshua Guerra
Condolences from Sophia and myself to the Johnson family.
I still remember the Christmases, walking into church and seeing the stage lined with bikes for us kids. I remember Pastor cheering us on, whether we were auditioning for the Easter play or for the dance team. I remember the conviction in his voice when he taught. The excellence he believed the house of the Lord deserved. I remember the support we received when my sister transitioned to glory. None of that was small to me, in fact they were seeds, planted and faithfully watered. I’m saddened by this but scripture reminds us that we do not grieve as those we have no hope. Now, you get to stand in the presence of the One we have worshiped by faith. To join the great cloud of witnesses in unending praise. Heaven is now the home you see with unveiled eyes. Today you’re experiencing the fullness of what you spent years pointing others toward. God bless you, your wife, your kids and their spouses, and all of your grandbabies.
RIP Pastor Johnson you have earn your wings. Now you are sitting on the right side of the Jesus . I will never forget how strong you were.Battle after battle you never gave up. On March 1 ,2026 The Lord told you he have prepare a place for you and now it time for you to rest. Me and Brother Robert will always be so grateful. How you spoke in our Life. So now sleep in Peace ❤️❤️
