Obituary:

Wilford Hayes, Jr., 86, of Apopka, departed this life on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Wilford was born on July 17, 1934 in Centreville, Mississippi to Lillie and Wilford Hayes, Sr. Wilford retired from the US Air Force and was later employed as a postal worker. He was an active and faithful member of EBON Temple, Inc. Orlando, where he served in several capacities. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Wilford is survived by his beloved wife, Wilhelmina Hayes; daughters, Mildred Dixon, Sohelia (Kither) Naeem, Alicia (John) West; son, David Hayes; sisters, Wilhelmenia, Blanche, Glendora Hunter; 6 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A service of celebration will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020, 10:00AM at EBON Temple, Inc, 7001 Wallace Road, Orlando with Bishop Thomas S. Lee, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell.
