Obituary:

T’Yonna Judy Marie Major, 9, of Orlando, departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. T’Yonna was born on September 11, 2013 in Orlando to Brandi and Tokiyo K. Major, Sr. T’Yonna was a bright and active student at Pine Hills Elementary School, where she excelled in reading. She enjoyed gymnastics and won several medals from various competitions. She was adored by her family, teachers and friends. Her smile and love for life will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best. She was an extraordinary, precious and deeply loved daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

T’Yonna is survived by her loving parents, Brandi L. and Tokiyo K. Major, Sr.; brother, Tokiyo Major, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Alma Manuel; maternal grandparents, Judith and Paul Stokes; and a host of other relatives, teachers and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 4-6PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, 2:00 PM at New Life COGIC, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Pastor Joel Polk, officiating.

  1. As a member of the family, even though I did not know T’Yonna, my heart is broken. I just want T’Yonna’s parents Brandi and Tokyio to know that I love you both with a Christ-like love and may the comforting arms of God hold you close during this most trying time. Only He knows why your loving little girl had to make such a sudden departure from your lives.
