Obituary:
Theodis Strafford, 77, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, September 30, 2021. Theodis, affectionately known as “Big Daddy/Theo”, was born in Arlington, Georgia on December 28, 1943 to the late Mattie and Eddie James Strafford. He was educated in the public school system and after graduation, he began working in the construction industry, ultimately owning his own contracting business for over 20 years. He was highly skilled in masonry as well. He was a member of Community Baptist Church, Orlando, serving faithfully until his health declined. In his spare time, Theo enjoyed watching westerns. He was a devoted father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Theodis is survived by his beloved daughter, Von Johnson; siblings: brother, Adolphus (Shirley) Strafford; sisters, Daisy Clark, Bobbie (Kenny) Johnson, Mattie Haynes; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4-6PM at the chapel. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, 11:00 AM at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Drew Avenue, Orlando with Rev. Alfred Moore Sr., officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
