Obituary:

Stephen Fitzgerald Harris, 58, of Orlando, departed this life on Monday, July 27, 2026. Steve, as he was affectionately called, was born September 10, 1967 to the late Ronnie Harris and Aline Avery in Pensacola, Florida.

At an early age, Steve developed a passion for fashion and aspired to be a fashion designer and would experiment with cutting up clothes and recreating outfits. Although his dream never came to be, those who knew him best can speak to his aspirations. His second love was children – although never blessed with any, he found joy in throwing a ball or engaging in a race with them.

Like many people, Steve faced personal challenges throughout life. The struggles did not define who he was. He was much more than the difficulties he experienced and will be remembered for laughter, comedy and love he gave and lives he touched.

Steve worked various jobs throughout Central Florida over the years.

He leaves to celebrate his life Mother, Aline Avery; Stepfather Calvin Avery; Brothers- Willis Butler, Calvin L. Avery, Eneas Robins, Diav’lo Fleming (Anna) and Willie Harris; Sisters-Tameka Fleming and Yolanda Harris; Sister-In-Law Jackie Harris; Aunts- Pastor Wanda Bright, Evangelist Cynthia Knight, Kathey Avery and Gail Avery; Uncles – Charlie Harris and James Avery and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Though gone from our sight, never from our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, 1:00 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Jacqueline Cockerham, officiating. Interment: Greenwood Cemetery, Groveland.
