Obituary:
Mattie Mae Fluellen, 97, of Orlando (Tangelo Park), departed this life on Monday, March 18, 2024. Mattie was born on January 24, 1927 in Elko, Georgia to the late Sarah Owens and John Hamilton. Mattie worked in hospital housekeeping for several years until retirement. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mattie is survived by her loving daughter, Eddie Brown; sister, Charlie Mae Whitfield; a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, 2:00 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Reverend Sharleen Briggs, officiating.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Ms. Mattie. May you find comfort in the cherished moments you shared together and may the memories of her bring you peace. Her love and guidance will forever be a part of the many lives she touched, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
