Obituary:

Maggie Lee Turner, 92, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Maggie Lee was born on March 15, 1928 in Lake City, Florida to Addie Mae and Alfred Benjamin. Maggie was a faithful and active member of Agape Ministries, Orlando, serving in several capacities until her health declined.

Maggie Lee dedicated her life to service to her family and community. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was the matriarch of the Turner family, who instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and grandchildren to follow. Maggie Lee was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her: daughters, Inez Payne, Elizabeth Jackson, Jacqueline D. Jackson, Linda J. Jackson, Rhonda (A.J.) Whitmore; sons, Joshua (Carol) Jackson, Jr., James (Shirley) Jackson, Cornelius W. Jackson, Reginald L. Jackson; sister, Lillie Mae Jackson; 25 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Due to the current state of COVID/19 pandemic and travel restrictions, the family has made provisions for those who are unable to attend the Homegoing Celebration Services to live stream using the following link: https://postellsmortuary.com/livestream

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, 12:00 Noon at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Reverend Sharon Riley, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

Executive Order in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic… we will only allow 10 individuals in at a time to enter the funeral home. We must adhere to these guidelines so that we all can remain safe and secure during this crisis. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    I was truly heartbroken after hearing of my Aunt Maggie’s passing, but I know that God is in control and He makes no mistakes. I send my deepest condolences to all of her children, grandkids, great grandkids and sister, Lillie Mae Jackson. Aunt Maggie was my FAVORITE Aunt who had the most beautiful smile, and never a bad word to say to anyone. I will miss you deeply Aunt Maggie.
