Obituary:

Louise Jessie Mitchell, 93, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Louise was born on August 13, 1927 in Americus, Georgia to the late Ardulia Jenkins and James Burrell Jackson. Louise dedicated her life to service, her family and community. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a former member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando and served faithfully until her health began to decline. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her children and grandchildren to follow. Louise was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her: loving daughters, Jerlin Johnson, Dorothy Jones; sisters, Marian Zellous, Ora Rogers, Christine Lee; 8 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, 10:00AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Ronald E. Williams, Sr. officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

    My condolences to the family of Ms. Louise. I always enjoyed our long informational talks throughout the years. Ms. Louise was always full of life and kept me laughing with our hours and hours of talks. RIP Ms. Louise. You will be greatly missed.
