Obituary:

Latory Marcus Jones, 41, of Indianapolis, departed this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Latory Marcus Jones was born in Orlando, Florida on the 29th of Day of November 1978 to Jimmie Lee Harris and Marilyn Marie Jones. He was a happy outgoing kid growing up. He loved music, movies and family. He also loved sports and played football from Elementary to High school. After high school, he decided to work full time. His first born child arrived on November 9th 1996 and was named Alexis Lashay Jones, who was the first love of his life. Later on he married his lovely wife, Karen on the March 17, 2007. After years of being in marital bliss they had their second love of life, Bailey Jahnell Jones, born October 1, 2011. After years of trying again the Lord blessed them with their miracle baby, Marissa Kaily Jones, born June 21, 2013. Marissa became the 3rd love of his life. Marcus was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin friend and employee. He was a comedian in his own way. He kept people laughing with his jokes or entertaining stories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife, Karen Jones; daughters, Alexis and Marissa Jones; mother, Marilyn Osteen; sisters, Alisha Jones, Tangerlia Davenport, Nada Davenport, Latesha Goodman, Tomeka (Quinton) Goodman-Montgomery, Shaney Jones, Lanell Jones Lamar; brothers, Antoine Jones, Jeffrey Simmons, Thaddeus Rice, Terrell Williams, Eric Davenport; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, 11:00 AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Bishop Kenneth Turner, officiating.

Executive Order in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic… we will only allow 10 individuals in at a time to enter the funeral home during Tuesday’s visitation. We must adhere to these guidelines so that we all can remain safe and secure during this crisis. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    My deepest sympathy to the family. To his dear devoted wife Karen and his two lovely daughters Alexis and Marissa. I will continue to pray for you all. I’ve known Marcus since he was about 16. He was like a son to me he always called me Momma Ann. I’m so deeply hurt by this. I hope that God gives us all the strength to get through. β€οΈπŸ™πŸ½

    Marcus will be missed. His laughter, his singing, his fun-loving manner. He was giving and thoughtful. He was always trying to bring joy.
