Obituary:
Joseph “Joe” Ashley Jr., 84, of Orlando, departed this life on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Joseph, affectionately called Joe by family and friends, was born on September 16, 1941 in Valdosta, GA to the late Emma Grace and Joseph Ashley Sr.
He was a man that would give his all to help anyone. Joe worked in construction for several years. He provided and protected his family with all his might. Anyone who knew Joe knows he loved fishing. He was a loving and caring man that was determined to enjoy life. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Ashley; daughter, Emma Jean Jones; sons, Steve Ashley, Joseph Clark, Marcus Ashley; brother, Walter Ashley; 15 grandchildren; and a host of in-laws, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, 11:00 AM at New Life Missionary Baptist Church, 3919 W. New Hampshire Street, Orlando with Bishop Errol Thompson, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
