Jesse L. Burns, Jr., 70, of Ocala, Florida transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Jesse was born on September 15, 1950 in Bradenton, Florida to the late Marie and Jesse Burns, Sr.

Mr. Jesse L. Burns, Jr. served as the President of Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida from 1993-1996 and as the 10th President of the Connectional Lay Organization from 2003-2009. His local church was St. Paul AME Church in Ocala, Florida.
