Obituary:

Icilma Eloise McDonald, 76, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was born on November 28, 1945 in Clarendon, Jamaica to Eulalee and Wilberforse Palmer. Professionally, Icilma worked as a certified nurses assistant for over 20 years.

Icilma, affectionately called Sister Girley, dedicated her life to her raising and caring for her children and family. She enjoyed cooking and keeping a clean home. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and grandchildren to follow. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Hubert McDonald; 3 sons, Alfanso, Dwight and Carlton McDonald; daughters, Daffodil, Ionie, Sheryl and Donna McDonald; sisters, Soniarie Palmer, Dorrel Carbarry, Lilia Fagan; brothers, Danzil and Stafford Palmer; 21 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4PM- 6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, 11:00 AM at Tabernacle of Glory Apostolic Church, 495 W. Silver Star Road, Orlando with Pastors Ewin James and Robert Young, officiating. Final services and burial will take place under the direction of Phillip and Son Funeral Services, Jamaica.
