Obituary:

Hozell ‘Doris’ Williams, 93, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, October 9, 2020. Doris was born on June 11, 1927 in Webster, FL to Evie and James Lowery. Professionally, Doris was a skilled beautician and worked in the haircare industry for several years.

She was a devoted and active member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando, serving on the deaconess board for many years. She was also a member of the Herons of Jericho, Daughter of Sphinx, and Past President of the Grand Union Pallbearers, Orlando, FL. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Doris is survived by her devoted husband, Deacon Charles H. Williams; son, Dr. Thomas J. (Virgie) Dorsey; brother, Arch Bishop James Lowery; sisters, Clara Harris, Apostle Ramona Bain; grandson, Tom J. Dorsey, II; 1 great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 4-6PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020, 12:00PM at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Drew Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Charles Williams, Jr., officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
