Obituary:
Earl Theodore Rankin, 91, of Kissimmee, departed this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. “Earlito”, as he was affectionately known, was born on October 24, 1934 in La Ceiba, Honduras to the late Ena and Ricardo Rankin. After completing his formal education and some college, he enlisted in the US Army, and was honorably discharged in 1960. After his military service, he went on to work as a building contractor until retirement.
Earl was a dedicated family man. He was an active member of South Orlando SDA Church, serving faithfully wherever needed. Aside from his church activities, he loved gardening, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his children; Mario Rankin, Antonio (Colleen) Rankin, Arturo (Reng) Rankin, Ricardo (Gina) Rankin, Anita Y. Rankin; 7 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, church family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 2PM until services begin at 4:00 PM, South Orlando Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1112 W. Oak Ridge Road, Orlando with Pastor Alex Vaz, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell.
