Obituary:

Dimitra Grant Bowman, 69, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Dimitra was born on November 19, 1956 in Fort Benning, GA to the late Eugenie and Harry Grant.
Professionally, she worked as a Manager with Frito Lay for over 30 years until retirement.

Dimitra was a very kind, generous, loving woman with a heart of gold. She dedicated her life to her raising and caring for her beloved family. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. Above all else, she was a woman of faith. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for her children and family to follow. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her memory and legacy will live on in the hearts of her beloved husband, Arthur Bowman; children, Mahalia (Mario) Roberts, Arthur G. Bowman, Joshua J.V. Bowman; raised as a son, Bernard (Shannon) Cooks Jr; 3 siblings, Jimmy Grant, Ronald (Judi) Grant, Napoleon (Sheryl) Matthews; 5 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and numerous friends. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, 12:00 Noon at Majestic Life Church, 821 S. Kirkman Road, Orlando. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
