Obituary:

Alfreda Faye Edwards Bryant, 71, of Winter Garden, fell asleep and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Alfreda, affectionately called Faye, was born on April 3, 1952 in Bronson, FL to the late Dorothy and Jesse Edwards.

Alfreda was an exemplary Christian woman, a caring teacher, loving mother, devoted friend, and giver of her last to anyone in need.

A country girl moved to the city for education and to start her adult life, she was a proud alumni of Florida State University. Her sweet, nurturing spirit drew all who knew her to love her. She made a tremendous impact in her career, her family, and her church.

She leaves to mourn, two daughters, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends from all over Orlando, Bronson, Williston, Gainesville, Chiefland, and the surrounding areas. She will be forever cherished and greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 4-6PM at the chapel. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, 1:00 PM at United Church of God by Faith, 800 Symonds Avenue, Winter Park. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

My sincere condolences to Jessica, Jennifer, and the entire family. Your mother will always have a special place in my heart. She was an amazing mother, sister, friend, and auntie. I witness her sweet spirit when she open up her home to me when I was in high school to hangout and let’s not forget how she fed me on countless days. May God give you all strength in this time of sorrow.

    Love,
    Michelle Wright
