Obituary:

Carolyn F. LimQuee, 80, of Ocoee, entered her eternal rest on Monday, October 5, 2026. Carolyn was born on July 10, 1946 in Omaha, Georgia to the late Laura and Charles Ford.

After graduating high school, Carolyn continued her education and later earned an Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Carolyn served her community as an educator, and taught for over 34 years at Sadler Elementary School. Her career allowed her to impact countless students. Her devotion to the craft was driven by her enthusiasm for positively impacting students and working alongside other passionate educators.

Carolyn was a very kind, generous, loving woman with a heart of gold. She served with grace and love as a faithful member of St. Mark AME Church, Orlando. She was the former church musician, participated faithfully in Bible study, as a member of the Women’s Missionary Society, and an a YPD Advisor, and to put it mildly, when the church doors were open, she was present. She also served as a Board member of the Negro Spirit Foundation. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her family to follow. She was the glue of her family and a devoted mother, servant leader and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn leaves no mourners for she lived a rich Christian life among loving and devoted family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Sweeting; 2 granddaugters, Kristen (Leo) Nixon, Jordan Sweeting. She will live on in the hearts and minds of her family, other relatives, former students and colleagues, church family and many friends. May her soul rest in perfect peace.

A service of memory will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, 11:00 AM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Bishop Samuel L. Green Sr., eulogist.

  1. Ms. Limquee will be missed. She was a kind and loving person who always took care of Ashley when she was in her care. Our last conversation she stated she enjoyed taking Ashley because she knew she would always have food with her. LOL. I never worried because I knew she loved her as much as her own child. You will be missed. But heaven is rejoicing.
