Obituary:
Clara L. Johnson Crumpton, 93, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, October 2, 2026. Clara was born on May 12, 1933 in Wellborn, Florida.
Mother Clara dedicated her life to service in her church, family and community. She was an active member of St. Mark AME Church, Orlando. Over her 7 plus decades of faithful membership, she served in various capacities of the church including the Seniors Ministry, Stewardess Board, and she held the title of Steward Emeritus. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and grandchildren to follow.
She also served the greater Orlando community as one of the first lady attendants of Postell’s Mortuary. Her calming, gentle and compassionate spirit was always felt with the families she encountered. Even as her health began to decline, she always joined the staff at picnics and holiday gatherings yearly. Her sweet voice and infectious laugh will continue to be remembered and missed by her Postell’s Mortuary staff family. Clara was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Clara leaves no mourners for she lived a rich Christian life among countless family and friends, just loved by all. She is survived by her loving and devoted children: daughter, Linda (Clarence) Anderson; sons, Keith E. Crumpton, Bryan D. Crumpton, Paul A. Crumpton; brother, Samuel Stockton; sister, Vivian Owens; daughter-in-law, Diane Carter; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, church family and many friends.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
