Obituary:
David Fitzgerald Hayes, 59, of Apopka, departed this life on Friday, September 4, 2026. David was born on December 9, 1966 in Meridian, Mississippi to Wilhelmina and Wilford Hayes Jr. David completed his formal education and worked in J.J. Haines Warehouse prior to his demise.
David was a caring, respectable and hardworking man. What gave him the most joy in life was being with his family, whom he loved with all his heart. He was a loving father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memories: son, Joshua Hayes; 2 sisters, Alicia (John) West, Soheila Naheem; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, 11:00 AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Bishop Thomas S. Lee Jr., officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
