Obituary:
Mother Susie M. Mitchell, 105, of Orlando, departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Mother Susie was born in Leary, GA on October 29, 1920 to Alberta and Lee P. Lane who preceded her in death. Susie accepted The Lord as her Savior at an early age.
Mother Susie was a faithful member of EBON Temple Inc., Orlando and then later at Truth Deliverance Center of Jesus. As a Ebonite, she served on the Mother’s Board, Missionary Board, and Evangelist team. Mother Susie put God first in all that she did and she made sure her family knew who God was and how good God is. God knew she served her purpose and decided to call her home on September 5th. She was a loving mother, grandmother, servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She’s survived by a loving and devoted children, Bishop Bishop Eddie B. (Yvette) Mitchell Jr., Leroy (Pauline) Henderson Jr., Bertha Rackley, Charlotte (Rodney) Reed; 15 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, other relatives, neighbors, church family and many friends.
Visitation and wake services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, 1:00 PM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Bishop Eddie Mitchell Jr, officiating and Bishop Thomas S. Lee, Jr., eulogist. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
