Obituary:
Jean B. Bilal, 76, of Orlando, entered her eternal rest on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Jean was born on April 29, 1950 in Fitzgerald, GA to the late Marissa and Benjamin Callaway.
After completing high school, Jean continued her education and later earned her Associates Degree in Education. Professionally, Jean served her community as an educator, and taught for several years within the Public Schools System in Florida. Her devotion to the craft was driven by her enthusiasm for positively impacting students and working alongside other passionate educators.
Jean leaves no mourners for she lived a rich Christian life among loving and devoted family and friends. She is survived by her 3 children, Everette Callaway, Yolanda Bonner, Artanika (Larry Crosby) Bonner; 6 siblings, Sarah Bogarty, Barbara Rawls, Betty (Jack) Sneed, Faye (Abraham) Sinclair, James (Annie L.) Callaway. Joseph Callaway; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She will live on in the hearts and minds of her family, former students, colleagues and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, 11:00 AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando. Interment will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, 12 Noon at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, GA.
