Obituary:
Steve Michael Parris, 62, of Orlando, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Born in Charlestown, Saint Kitts and Nevis to Laurene Parris and Kenneth Liburd on April 30, 1964. He later made his home in the United States, where he was known for his hard work, dignity, and quiet strength.
He worked faithfully for many years as a construction worker.
Steve was a man of great wisdom and a devoted family man. He was known as a problem solver, peacemaker, and community builder. He inspired all whose lives he touched and was deeply loved by many.
He is survived by loving wife, Joan Parris; 5 children, Michael Parris, Keithroy Parris, Vanessa Parris, Illyssa Parris, Steve Jalik Parris; siblings, Vernon Parris, Terrence “Terry” IIes, Brian Dore, Jerry Harris, Terrence “Terry” Harris, Aaron Deshatlo, Denise Parris, Catherine Dore, Denesha Dore, Shamir Dore, Magdelen “Amythist” Sargeant, Bernadette Jeffers, Jessica Matthew, Marsha Frith Ali, Vera Lawrence Brandy, Nestrelda “Jessica” Nisbetth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2026 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, June 20, 2026, 11:00 AM at Northwest Church Orlando, 5495 Clarcona Ocoee Road, Orlando with Pastor David Nelson, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
