Obituary:

Cecilia Michelle Lewis, 60, of Sanford, departed this life on Monday, March 9, 2026. Cecilia was born on February 25, 1966 in Tampa, FL. Professionally, she prepared taxes for several years prior to her demise.

A mother, daughter, sister and a friend to many, Cecilia’s life left an example of compassion, determination, independence, loyalty and strength. She was a skilled musician, and played the guitar for her church’s music ministry. We will sorely miss her and will cherish her memory along with the love and laughter she provided us over the years.

Cecilia is survived by her: 3 daughters, Jacquelyn Lewis, Kimberly Lewis, Marshall Lewis; father, Charles Sapp; sisters, Linda Sapp, Lavoera Cooper, Cassandra Gordon; brothers, Michael Sapp, Morris Sapp; raised as their daughter, Bishop Eugene and Jacquelyn Cooper, Connie Brinson; 5 grandchildren; and a host other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 5-7PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, 1:00 PM at St. James House of Prayer of the Apostolic Faith Church, 2775 Celery Avenue, Sanford with Bishop Eugene Cooper, officiating. Interment: Restlawn Cemetery, Sanford.
