Obituary:
Charles Edward Pope, 70, departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Charles was born July 31, 1952 in Edison, GA to the late Mae Pearl Harp and Sam Pope. He was a man that would give his all to help anyone. He was a loving and caring father, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his passing: son, Charles Pope, Jr.; sisters, Mary A. (Guy) Rozier, Johnnie P. Mackroy, Bettye Cotton, Gladys Mackroy, Johnnie Barber; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and sorrowing friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 5-7PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, 11:00 AM at New Inspiration Missionary Baptist Church, 617 S. Lakeview Avenue, Winter Garden with Pastor David S. Harp, Sr., officiating.
