Obituary:

Uken Lloyd “Bing” Cummings, 78, of Orlando, departed this life on suddenly on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Uken was born on May 30, 1943 in St. Thomas, Jamaica, WI to Marian and Ernest Cummings. Uken was employed as a hospital security guard for several years until he retired.

Uken was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. He raised all of his kids with values and morals. He always taught his children how to be strong and resilient. He was a provider and devoted his life to caring for his beloved family. In his spare time, Uken enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bing, as he was affectionately called, is survived by his loving children, Stephanie Thompson, O’Neil Cummings, Carl Cummings, Jason Cummings; 2 sisters, Elsa and Norma; 10 grandchildren; and a host other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022, 2:00 PM at New Life Church of God in Christ, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando, with Pastor Mark Brown, officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.

    I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Cummings family today. Very loving family. Even though this was our 1st time meeting, they embraced me where I did not feel like a stranger. May the peace of God be with you all.

      Bing , you were such a nice, honorable, good and kind person. We miss you so much – you left a hole in our lives. We are heartbroken but reflect on your good qualities and thank God that we were able to know you. May your soul be with the Lord and may you have a great reward for living in God’s glory.

    My condolence to the cumming family. you have been taken away from us too soon. We all Love you but Jesus Loves you best. Now my sister will be getting her Jerk Chicken and fish. Rest in Peace my brother in law..
