Obituary:

Gladys “Ceda” Gease Hill, 86, of Orlando, went home to glory on Friday, January 21, 2022. Gladys was born on October 28, 1935 in Bronwood, GA to the late Lillie Mae and Henry Gease. Gladys relocated to Florida in the early 1950’s and made Orlando her home. Fondly called Sister Hill by her church family, Gladys was baptized at an early age into the Baptist faith and was a longtime member of Orlando’s Community Baptist Church where she served in many church activities.

Ceba, as she was affectionately called by her family, enjoyed cooking, caring for her children and grandchildren, and serving God with all her heart. She was known for always putting others first and taking care of everyone. She also enjoyed making big meals and loved spending time with her grandkids, family, and friends. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Her sweet spirit she will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by daughter, Carol B. Brown; sons, Gary Rhymes, Stanley M. Hill; sisters, Jeanette Martin, Peggy Daniel, Ida Mae Daniel; brothers, Eddie James Daniel, Isaac (Sabrena) Daniel, James Daniel, Eddie Howard; 15 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4PM – 6PM at Community Baptist Church, 651 Campanella Avenue, Orlando. A service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, 2:00 PM at Life Center Church, 63 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Eatonville with Pastor Alfred Moore, officiating. Interment: Eatonville Memorial Gardens, Eatonville.
