Obituary:
Willie L. Tate, Sr., 84, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, April 2, 2021. Willie was born on April 27, 1936 in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Lorine and Christian Tate. He was employed for several years with General Motors as a crane operator. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Willie is survived by his children, Willie Tate, Jr., Edward Tate, Timothy (Lesa) Tate, David (Bridgette) Tate, Johnell Tate, Joann Rogan, Annie Tate, Sherry (Vernon) Tate-Jones, Glynis Nash; sisters, Velma Kidd, Margaret Baniel; 26 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021, at 11:00 AM, Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
