Pat was born in Kingston, Jamaica on September 4, 1961 at noon at the Public Hospital. Her parents Louise Tucker and Edwin Heslop loved their daughter dearly and raised her to be the strong woman she was known by everyone today. Her life in Jamaica was filled with love and adventures of city life in Kingston, and summers spent in country with her sister and cousins. She was blessed to have a wonderful mother, best friends Cecil (Tall man) Brown, Rachel Meng, Barbara Covington, Giselle Dundas, and her last 3 year’s was spent loved by Neville Burke.
Anyone who knew Pat knew she was a proud Jamaican who loved good food! She cooked her first meal at the age of 8, cabbage and yam. She loved reggae music, specifically Bob Marley and her “husband” Sizzla. She enjoyed playing bingo, beach and casino trips with Rachel, talking to Tall Man first thing in the morning, watching action movies with Neville, and frying a nice piece of snapper. She never missed an episode of Steve Harvey or Wrestling, and was always kind and gracious to her friends. Life was not always easy for Pat, but she persevered, worked hard, sometimes working two jobs and lived well by spending time in her garden, which most of those flowers she brought here from Jamaica. If you needed anything, a greeting card, coming to visit, or Sunday dinner, check with Pat, she’ll give you what you need. Pat we honor you, we miss you, we love you.
She is survived by her mother, Louise Cowan; daughter, Shermeische “Meische” Nicole Jobson; sister, Kathleen Gordon; nephews, K.J. and Kortny Saleem; partner, Neville Burke; caregiver, Rachel Meng; best friend, Cecil Brown.

The world has lost a kind soul in Missy Pat. I am grateful to have known her and am going to miss all of her generosity and amazing cooking. She always made you feel loved and at home while taking care of everybody. She loved her daughter, Nicole, and always told me how proud she was of her accomplishments and strength. We all know where that came from. One Love
I have a small circle of friends and now my circle is even smaller…. Ms. Pat will be missed dearly.
Rest in Paradise until we meet again!
I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was so gracious in life. Sleep well.
I have been looking for Pat for years and I am so sorry to find that she has passed. We were friends in Brooklyn. I wonder if her daughter remembers me I used to do her hair…
