Obituary:
Willie Nell “Big Mama” Miller, 86 of Orlando, fell asleep and entered eternal rest on Friday, September 18, 2026. Big Mama, as she was affectionately called, was born on July 17, 1940 in Shorter, Alabama to the late Rosa Lee and Honor Demps Sr.
Willie Nell dedicated her life to service in her church, family and community. She was an active member of New Inspiration Missionary Baptist Church, Winter Garden, serving faithfully as a prayer warrior and in any capacity needed. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her family and grandchildren to follow. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Willie Nell was a devoted grandmother, servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by 4 siblings, Tommie Jean Williams, George Ann Demps, Anderson Demps, Terri Lee (Bernice) Demps, and a host of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, other relatives, church family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 5-7 PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, 11:00 AM at New Inspiration Missionary Baptist Church, 617 S. Lakeview Avenue, Winter Garden with Pastor David S. Harp, Sr., officiating. Interment: Winter Garden Cemetery, Winter Garden.
You will be deeply missed and forever loved. I’m grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every moment we were blessed to share. Although saying goodbye hurts more than words can explain, I find comfort knowing your love will always remain with us.
Will miss my twin birthday we were born on same day we named ourselves the golden girls inez,nell,tommie,Georgia now only 2 of us now my sister’s i will truly miss coming to get my biscuits, bacon,salmon love you sis for ever,ever missing you in my ❤️
