Obituary:

Karl Celester Lee Jr., 75, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Karl was born on July 17, 1950 in Fort Worth TX to the late Ella and James C. Lee. After completing his formal education, he enlisted in the US Army, and was honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1973. After his military service, he went on to work as a telemarketing representative.

Karl was a dedicated family man. He loved reading his bible and playing chess. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife, Sophronia Sanders-Lee; children, Demetrei Sanders, Mitchell (Karra) Sanders, Anthony Sanders, Antwan Sanders, Joshua (Chelsea) Sanders, Shaquanda (Luiz) Carvalho, Tarius Sanders, Darius (Zay) Sanders; sister, Sharon Griffith; special cousin, Gerald Davis; 2 Goddaughters, Shanee’ Jackson, Taylor Keeley; 34 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and a host of other family, and many friends

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4 PM- 6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, 1:00 PM at New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Columbia Street, Orlando.
