Obituary:

Duchard Levites Rene, 72, of Orlando, departed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Duchard was born in Haiti on July 7, 1953. Professionally, he worked in hotel housekeeping for several years.

Anyone who knew Duchard knew he was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. He enjoyed being around his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife, Elcie Civil; 3 daughters, Monica Rene, Elzina Rene, Carline Rene; 2 stepchildren, Gaelle Joseph, Kervens Nelson; 2 brothers, Walter Rene, Duverland Rene; 4 sisters, Duvy Rene, Rebenie Rene, Gevelyne Rene, Irene Jean-Baptiste, Adonise Rene; and a host of other relatives and many friends. May his soul rest eternally.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, 9:00 AM at Assemble’ Chretienne de Beree’, 7601 Edgewater Drive, Orlando with Pasteur Berneau Alcine, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
