Obituary:
Leonard Fitz James Dixon, 89, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, April 4, 2025. Leonard was born in St. Ann, Jamaica, W.I. on July 9, 1935 to the late Ruby and Hasting Dixon.
In pursuit of the American dream, he migrated to the United States of America, eventually settling down in Central Florida. Professionally, he worked in construction for several years.
Leonard was a member of North Orlando SDA Church, where he served faithfully for several years. He would work in what ever capacity was needed to serve God and people until his call to rest. In his spare time, Leonard enjoying reading and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Leonard was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish and celebrate his legacy: wife, Ulser Dixon; 3 children, Ava M. Dixon, Allison Dixon, Sherefah Dixon; 2 siblings, Rolston Dixon, Trevour Dixon, 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 5-7 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, 11:00AM at North Orlando SDA Church, 4125 N. Hiawassee Road, Orlando with Pastor Gregory Carroll, officiating.
