Obituary:

Dorothy H. Thomas, 80 of Winter Garden, fell asleep and entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Ms. Dot, as she was affectionately called, was born on July 29, 1944 to the late Issa Mae and Bishop Henry. Dorothy was educated in the Orange County Public School System.

Dorothy dedicated her life to service in her church, family and community. She was an active member of New Inspiration Missionary Baptist Church, Winter Garden, serving faithfully as a prayer warrior and in any capacity needed. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her family and grandchildren to follow. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and shopping. Ms. Dot was a devoted mother, grandmother, servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her 7 children, Leatta (Paessa) Thomas, Johnnie (Denisha) Thomas Jr., Kimberly (Paul Fagan) Thomas, Shanique (Horace) Thomas, Travis Thomas, Kelwin (Jevon) Thomas, Anthony Thomas; 33 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, 11:00 AM at New Inspiration Missionary Baptist Church, 617 S. Lakeview Avenue, Winter Garden with Pastor David S. Harp, Sr., officiating.
