Obituary:
James Earl Massalene, Sr., 85 of Orlando, departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2025. James, affectionately known as “J.E.”, was born on July 14, 1939 in Washington County, Florida to the late Ambus and Ester Massalene. James later relocated to Oviedo, FL, where he married the late Ora Lee Bryant. He was preceded in death by his sons, Timothy Mssalene, James Massalene Jr., and Eric Massalene.
James was a jack-of-all- trades. He spent most of his career in construction, helping build a lot of houses all over Central Florida. In his spare time he loved fishing and BBQing for family and friends. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Kelvin Massalene and Pamela (Dwayne) Foreman; brother, Sylvester (Lisa) Massalene; 6 grandchildren, Jermaine (Krystal) Massalene, Akhira Massalene, Ariel Harris, Tyrone Henry, Ashley Thomas, and Jalen Thomas; four great grandchildren; a great-great-grandson, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, 2:00 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando.
