Obituary:
Michael Henderson Brathwaite, 72, of Orlando, FL departed this life on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Michael was born on April 26, 1952 to Wilma and the late Edward Brathwaite in St. Philip, Barbados. He was employed as a accountant for several years in Brooklyn, NY before relocating to Orlando, Florida. Michael was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Michael leaves behind his beloved wife, Cheryl Y. Brathwaite; daughter, Dr. Alicia Brathwaite; mother, Wilma Brathwaite; siblings, Sandra Brathwaite-Agard, Gail Brathwaite, Sherrell Brathwaite; and a host of other relatives and friends who celebrate the life he shared with us.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10:00AM until services begin at 10:30 AM, Church of the Holy Family, 1010 N. Hiawassee Road, Orlando with Father John Pallard, officiating. Final services and burial will be held in Brooklyn, NY under the direction of Andrew Torregrossa and Sons Funeral Home.
The Family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in thanksgiving for Michael’s life to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund.
