Obituary:

Doris Jean McCain, 66 of Apopka, departed this life on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Doris was born in Birmingham, AL on March 30, 1958 to the late Odessa McCain and Jimmy Cook.

Doris, also known as “Momma D and Ms. Hattie” was employed in hospitality for several years. She enjoyed singing, and participating in her Chat, Chew and Do women’s group. She was well known and a pillar in her community. He sweet spirit and words of wisdom will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best.

She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Terence McCain; 2 siblings, Sarah McCain Williams, Willie James Reeves; 1 granddaughter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, 11:00 AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Minister Dorothy Harris, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
