Obituary:

Cecil Anthoney Logan, 82, of Dade City, departed this life on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Cecil was born on May 20, 1942 in Kingston, Jamaica, WI to Beryl and Eric Logan. Cecil was employed as the Vice President of Marketing at Creative Technical Services.

Cecil was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. He was an active and dedicated member of Mt. Zion AME Church, Brooksville, serving for over 30 years as a steward. He was a provider and devoted his life to caring for his beloved family. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife, Minnette Logan; 4 children, Debbie Griffith; stepsons, Kavan (Natalie) Lake, Raymond (Amanda) Barrett, Brian Barrett; 9 siblings, Dennis Logan, Faye Hutchinson, Hyacinth Logan, Jeannie Blackwood, Winnie (Raymond) Desouza, Sharon (Abraha) Derso, Eric (Leonie) Logan Jr., Stanisalus Logan; 8 grandchildren; and a host other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 4PM – 5PM until services begin at 5:00PM, Mt. Zion AME Church, 8160 WPA Road, Brooksville with Pastor Dawn Harris, officiating.

A service of celebration will also be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Dawn Harris, officiating.

Final Mass service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando. Interment: Queen of Angels Cemetery, Winter Park.

    Cecil was my neighbor for 18 yrs. He was a very good man . He and his wife are very good friends. He will be missed and I hope god will continue to comfort his family.

      Cecil will be truly missed by his church family. He was a man of great faith…he not only taught the word but walked it as well. He was a bible scholar and he loved the Lord deeply. He had a warm smile and many encouraging words. He served on the Steward Board, finance committee,bible discovery participant, Sons of Allen Chorus and Senior Choir. RIP…you will always be in our hearts.

    Cecil was mother was my Daughter’s father-in-law. He was a loving and kind individual. Rest in heaven, Cecil.

    We became family when Cecil agreed to be godfather to our daughter. For over 41 years we shared many wonderful hours & made many memories that I will cherish forever. The angels are singing, go with God Cecil.

    Cecil was the brother I wished I had. I will cherish the memories captured in pictures during our many labor day weekend trips with Saint Semions Church family. RIP my beloved friend,I will think of you always.
