Obituary:

Leary Emmanuel Howard, 61, of Minneola, departed this life on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Leary was born on June 10, 1963 in Westmoreland, Jamaica, WI to Kathleen and Vincent Howard. Leary was employed as TV Technician and handy man for several years.

Leary, affectionately called Mousey, was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, and cooking. He and his wife owned and operated their own Jamaican restaurant, and he was well known for a variety of dishes, but especially his Jerk Chicken. He was a provider and devoted his life to caring for his beloved family. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Leary is survived by his loving wife, Annette Howard; 3 children, Aaron Howard, Kereon Howard, Larisa (Jordan) Spohn; mother, Kathleen Howard; 9 siblings, Ann Lee, Huon Howard, Michael Salmon, Tony Salmon, Angela Salmon Watson, Monica Barrett, Aretha Cooper, Sandra Howard, Huntley Howard; 1 grandchild; and a host other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 4PM-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, 12:00 Noon at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor D’Jalma Phillips, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
