Obituary:
Sophronia E. Miller, 92, of Orlando, FL, departed this life on May 19, 2024. Fronie or Sophie as she was called leaves her grieving sons William and Michael of Orlando, FL as well as her sister, Lorene Mitchell of Somerset, NJ. In addition, she is survived by her granddaughter, Natasha Thomas of Haledon, NJ, her nephews Scott Mitchell of Henderson, NV and David Mitchell of Monmouth Junction, NJ, her nieces Carol Mitchell of White Plains, NY and Ellen Hewitt of Clayton, NC, along with a host of loving relatives and dear friends.
Sophie was born in rural SW GA in 1931. She was studious and graduated from Calhoun county HS in 1950 as the class valedictorian. In 1951, she met and married the love of her life, Luther Miller. In 1953, they moved to Elizabeth, NJ where she made many friends and started working. She worked many years, raising 5 children to adulthood, and retiring in 1992 as a pathe operator at Simmons bedding company. After her retirement, they moved to Orlando, FL where she enjoyed “the City Beautiful”. She was predeceased by 3 children; Luther III, Brenda, and Ronald.
Final funeral arrangements are private.

She was so smart and beautiful inside and out. Still to this day the best cook I’ve ever known. She loved the ‘tea’ (gossip) telling and hearing it. I will truly miss our tea filled talks and her sweet voice!. I love you girl see you when I get there !!!
