Obituary:

Sheldon DaVon Watson, 49, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. DaVon, as he was affectionately called, was born on January 23, 1975 in Orlando to Rev. Bettye J. Watson and Mr. Sheldon B. Watson.

DaVon was employed as a truck driver for several years prior to his demise. He was very passionate about his role as a husband and father and providing for his children. He approached each day with his head held high to the Lord. He was loved by a multitude of family and friends. He was a devoted family man and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew hm.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving wife, Prema Watson; 4 children, Jemise Reese, Ciani Dixon-Watson, Sheldon D. Watson II, Dylan Watson; parents, Rev. Bettye J. Watson and Sheldon B. Watson; 3 siblings, LaTarsha L. Watson, Terrence (LaToya) Watson, Lloyd (Keya) Morrison; 2 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5-7PM at Mt. Olive AME Church, 2525 W. Church Street, Orlando. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, 2:00 PM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Terence R. Gray, I, officiating and The Reverend Bettye J. Watson, eulogist.
